Maths Fun: Pupils enjoying problem solving activities with Mr O’ Keeffe.

Pupils investigated the splitting and mixing of light. In this activity , the pupils learned that not only can white light be broken up into rainbow colours, but also that rainbow colours can be brought together to produce white light!

Staff and pupils went on a walk around the locality of Barna one sunny afternoon. We were joined by some neighbours and we learned a lot about the local history of the area, the history of the school and surrounding buildings. And we met two very friendly donkeys along the way called Mikey and Paddy!

6th Class Graduation 2021-07-22 YOU DID IT!! Congratulations to our 6th class who celebrated their 6th Class Graduation. We wish Leanne, Kate, Joe, Hannah, Paddy, Emily and Dwaine the very best of luck in secondary school. Don’t forget to call back to see us!

Pupils also took part in a nationwide fundraiser for the Laura Lynn Foundation, again showing amazing generosity while getting into the Christmas spirit on Christmas Jumper Day!

Our pupils showed incredible generosity as they dressed up in their favourite jerseys and raised an amazing €500 for the “Team up for Theo” campaign! We are extremely proud of the pupils’ empathy and generosity! Well Done!!
