James Ryan of the Limerick Senior Hurling Team visits Barna NS

James Ryan, Limerick Senior Hurling Team, visited during Active School Week. He spoke to the children about the huge benefits and importance of being active and emphasised that it’s not all about winning – it’s about the taking part and the enjoyment you get from being active that counts.

James was very impressed with all the activities the children took part in during the week – “Wake up, Shake Up”, Zumba, Tug of War, Swimming, Golf, Hurling, Soccer & Rounder Tournaments, Road Cycle and Walk, Slí na Sláinte and more. He congratulated the pupils for participating in their Active School week and presented them with their Active School Certificates.

James presented the school 7-a-side Football team winners 2014/2015 with their souvenir medals.
